The Ride of Your Life!

Sat Yoga will challenge your sense of Self, your belief structures and perceptions.  Engaging in such an experience holds potential for disruptive change and resulting  temporary discomfort.  What becomes critical then, is one’s openness to new information and enhanced self-awareness; and, the manner in which such growth is nurtured.

Life-Changing Retreat

If I were to describe my retreat at Sat Yoga from the heart, with only one word, it would be: Life-changing.

But since I spent four months as a retreatant at the Sat Yoga Institute, I’ll need a few more words to describe this amazing experience...

Denise Evangelista

My journey to the Sat Yoga Institute was a commitment to myself to “peel my onion” and from there like a flower bud it began to blossom. This sojourn has profoundly changed my perception forever, starting with the magical sense of Love and Peace that greeted me at each turn and the true hearts that live in the Devine Presence and Grace of All that Is.

"It has been rare in my life to find a spiritual community whose members so whole heartedly pursue inner transformation through pure surrender to God. In being in their presence I have no questions about their sincerity and commitment to the inner path. Speech, action, and honesty all reflect this commitment. My brief stay inspired me on many levels. Upon arriving I immediately began to feel my heart open. Sitting down with Shunyamurti was a powerful experience that brought me directly into the present moment in spite of the ego's resistance . . .

In Costa Rica – SAT Yoga

The outside of the SAT Yoga Institute institute is nothing, almost a depiction of the inner work of the institute reflects on the outside…………one walks in through the gate and the energy of peace and calm engulfs you……..the warm and welcoming patina of the floor, the woodwork and the zen space all say “welcome home”.

A Transformational Session

I have regular sessions with Shunyamurti.  A session is hard to explain, Accordingly, I will not do so.  I will only say that is it a time of learning of spiritual things and a time of transcendence, of finding the True Self under all of the other structures that “we” have created to obscure that true essence.

Buddhi's experience . . .

I spent 2 ½ weeks studying at the Sat Yoga Institute and, in that time, my heart opened and my perception of who I truly am and who you are as well, completely shifted.  It’s difficult to articulate in a way that truly conveys the power and beauty of the transformation that took place there for me.

Retreat into Truth

The Sat Yoga Institute is a safe place to BE. I was welcomed into this community in such a warm and open way. My experience here has helped me gain the strength and courage to delve deep into the depths of my unconscious.

It has been a pleasure to be at the institute this week.  I feel more open and loving from being a part of the meditations, discussions, community and teachings. My family hosts have been very kind and open minded. The staff and participates at the institute are loving and helpful as well.

Sat Yoga Retreat Announcement

To Prospective Visitors: Please note that we are now in process of constructing our rural ashram. We do not yet reside there, nor can we yet offer any retreats there, nor any space for volunteers. We will inform you when the ashram officially opens. In the meantime, because we are working very hard to get the ashram ready for residency, we can no longer offer full immersion / karma yoga retreats at our urban center. You are welcome to apply to come as a visitor, and if accepted you will receive an orientation and you will be able to attend all general classes (G) and meditation sittings, but we cannot guarantee that we will have time to offer individual sessions during this period. Visitors are responsible for arranging their own lodging, meals, and other details of their stay. We will provide a listing of hotels and B&Bs nearby to those who request such information. Thank you for your cooperation.
