Sat Yoga´s Bee Colony - An Intellectual, Ecological, & Spiritual endeavor…

How do we coexist with nature? That's the real issue these days, and even more so is the struggle of certain individuals who truly desire that sense of divine stewardship towards the planet, rather than to go on in a pathological civilization of materialist cash generation along with a ravishing “ownership” over nature; luckily, following in the footsteps of Rudolph Steiner and his adoration towards the sacredness of the bees existence, Sat Yoga has acquired 5 hives as an introduction to a life in harmony with bees! This project has provided the Sangha with the chance to analyze a myriad of situations at the ashram land in San Isidro del General, there is even potential for up to 25 hives once enough interested karma yogis have landed at our ashram hive.

And in this miraculous dreamland we'll have the opportunity to respond to an issue such as Colony Collapse Disorder that's been killing off the bee population exponentially as a direct result of human interaction with nature. This is a severely pressing issue especially in recognizing that we depend on bees for pollinating around 70% of the world's agricultural crops - if they continue to diminish as they have been, we can just use our imagination as to the future of our food supply. More symbolically, they are perfect role models for what can be achieved by working in an atmosphere pervaded by love, they produce blissful honey while mirroring the golden sweet potential of harmonious community that humans may create for themselves as well through dedication to transforming & transcending the ego mind. 2011 is a year to have fun & enjoy the bees, in bliss, to analyze situations, and learn through experimentation.
