What stands out in this report is the fact that, although it is labeled a meteor, or a shooting star, it clearly does not look or behave like a meteor. It is unlike any meteor ever seen before, according to all witnesses. And there are many witnesses, not just devotees of Ramana. People all over the state of Madras see this object. The fact that this object is large, with a luminous tail, and yet is moving very slowly, implies that the tail-light is not caused by the heat of the atmosphere upon a falling object speeding downward. Nor is this a comet, which would have been astronomically predicted, and in any case, it would be located much higher up, and would not disappear behind Arunachala the way this object does.
Clearly, it is a false conclusion to call it a meteor. It would be much more honest to call this a UFO. But if we are to label it a UFO, what is the significance of that? Let us carry the thought further, and hypothesize that this is an object of extraterrestrial origin. Why would extraterrestrials have had Ramana Maharshi under surveillance? Or why would they be mounting a celestial funeral celebration for him, complete with flying flames, as if his funeral pyre, his burning ghat, belonged to Heaven rather than Earth? Would this have been a recognition of Ramana’s greatness by our cosmic visitors? Were they offering him a ride to a higher Loka? To Vaikunth, perhaps? Could it even be possible that extraterrestrial beings had been in contact with Ramana during his lifetime? Might Arunachala, the sacred mountain, have also been a landing port or stargate for beings from other planets or other dimensions? The Vedas and the classical Indian mythological epics are filled with stories of beings from other worlds. Some of those worlds are located in higher dimensions, while others are planets in our own galaxy, or from neighboring galaxies.
These questions are relevant, because of the growing number of reports of contacts with extraterrestrial beings. Some of these reports emphasize that there are different groups of alien visitors. Some are here for selfish reasons, and possibly malignant purposes, to take over this extraordinary piece of real estate we call Earth. Our own bad human karma, our failure to love and honor Gaia, our planetary Mother, our willingness to rape the Earth for short-term financial gain, has made our species fair game for cosmic poachers. We have lost our divine right to dwell on this sacred planet.
But there are other extraterrestrial visitors, it is said, who are here to help us transform spiritually, to become worthy of ongoing evolutionary development here on this lovely world. But to earn the right to survive, and to restore our planet to her original Garden of Eden purity and loveliness, her ecological perfection, we must ourselves become pure beings of love and wisdom.
We must realize that we are not essentially corporeal beings at all, but beings of formless consciousness, of Divine Light. We are just passing through this dimension. We must not identify with the physical plane. We are all extra-terrestrials. But we can realize this only by becoming extra-egoic. We must dissolve the ego in the divine flame signified by the UFO that celebrated Ramana’s mahasamadhi. We must enter such a state of natural samadhi, the sahaja nirvikalpa samadhi, as Ramana called his effortless, blissful level of Being.
By remaining in the state of vairagya, or dispassionate detachment, bathed in the power of supreme silence, we can overcome our negative karma, create compassionate communities of higher consciousness, and invite the help of our intergalactic friends to bring our planetary living conditions back into balance. Climate change can only be regulated if we regain our inner divine climate of love and light. If we balance the coolness of ahimsa, non-violence, with the brightness of sattvic mind, the pure consciousness of the Atman, then our world will reflect that inner balance with a shift of geophysical conditions in alignment with that attainment.
The only defense against attack by negative aliens, or suffering an abduction experience, is having a powerful aura of divine light. To achieve that, we must meditate continuously, we must be fearless, we must exude love and acceptance, and we must feel compassion for all beings, even the most negative. By transmitting our divine current of energy to the cosmos as a whole, for the upliftment of all beings, and especially for the restoration of purity on our holy planet, we are performing the only karma that will set us free from mental slavery, we are contributing to healing the nations, and we are recognizing our whole Earth as the Promised Land. We must keep our own promises to God. The great covenants that are the essence of all the world’s religions require us to live in peace with one another. Now it is the ETs who are the strangers in this strange land, and they deserve our recognition as sacred beings, children of the same One God. We must not meet them with fear, paranoia, or aggression. We must welcome them with open hearts. Such an attitude will enable the most advanced and loving of that class of beings to appear and to greet us as well.
Once we all become as beautiful and perfect as Sri Ramana Maharshi, we too will be honored by a parade of lights in the sky—lights that will be the harbinger of a new cosmic dawn of truly universal peace.
